School Council

School Council

School Council is the governing body of the school. It comprises 8 elected parents, 5 Department of Education members (including the principal) and 2 co-opted community members. Observers are welcome to attend meetings and contribute to discussions but have no voting rights.

Each member is elected for 2 years with half the council retiring each year. Meetings are held monthly in the staffroom at 7.30PM. See the calendar for dates.

The School Council has subcommittees that make recommendations to the Council for ratification. All members of the school community are invited to actively participate in one or more of these committees. These committees are:

• After School Performing Arts Program
• Education
• Finance
• Maintenance and Minor Works
• Promotions
